A to Z celebrates life in Ashton Keynes

The iconic old red telephone kiosk  next to the village shop in the heart of the Cotswold village of Ashton Keynes in North Wiltshire was converted into a mini art gallery eighteen months ago. Since it opened in March 2022, the Telephone Gallery has hosted twenty-two exhibitions. A to Z of Ashton Keynes is the latest exhibition and the exhibition celebrates Ashton Keynes and its vibrant community with twenty-six 15cm square artworks.

Earlier in the year, residents of Ashton Keynes were invited to submit a square image in some way linked to the village and to a letter of the alphabet. The result is a fun mixed media exhibition featuring alpacas, rubber ducks, gnomes, coffee and cake, a winter starling murmuration, the forthcoming Christmas Tree Festival, the White Hart Inn, and much more. Thirteen residents took up the challenge and there is a fabulous range of work on display, including collage, linocut, fabric art, drawings, models, pastels, mosaic, and acrylic painting. The exhibition runs until October 1st.
