A Bird's Eye View

The exhibition 'A Bird's Eye View' by Robert Bewley shows the altered perspective provided from being airborne - revealing archaeological and historical sites in different lighting conditions as well as the local, Upper Thames valley landscape, as you have never seen it.

This fascinating exhibition shows how aerial photography can bring people together, can be used to inspect damage to buildings, and can gives us an insight into the past, e.g.  show the layout of an Iron Age ‘banjo’ enclosure (farmstead) which showed up as a crop mark in June 2023:
