Living Advent Calendar Trail

 

Some of you may have seen an ad in the Nov edition of the village newsletter that a village advent trail is being organised this December and we’re looking for homes in Ashton Keynes who might like to take part.

The village always looks so lovely in the lead up to Christmas so we thought it might be a nice community thing to create a trail of 24 points around the community, with a different house ‘switched on’ each day. There will be an online map available to show where all the ‘windows’ are for anyone wanting to follow it.

To take part in the trail all you need to do is have a window/porch/front garden area which is clearly visible from the road, that you're willing to decorate and illuminate from about 4.30-9pm on a given day in Dec, and then keep it switched on daily about the same times until Xmas. Your display can be anything you like, from fairy lights and tinsel, home made pictures, paper stained glass windows…. It doesn’t have to be complicated and might even be your normal Christmas decs, just anything Christmassy including your allocated advent number somewhere.
