Ashton Keynes Living Advent Calendar Information and Maps

Here's all the information about the trail. By Christmas Eve there'll be 24 numbered windows or special displays dotted throughout the village. Participants will light up their displays around 4.30pm. The Telephone Gallery is marked No. 1 on the trail and the lights will be turned on at 4.30pm on 1st December and will continue to do so thereafter. House No 2 on the map will follow by turning on their lights at 4.30pm on 2nd December, House No. 3 on 3rd December, and so forth until all 24 are illuminated up. Each house will display a number just like an Advent calendar. It will be a truly magical experience , making the village more beautiful than ever at Christmas time! So wrap up warm, take a torch, put on your hi vis jacket and go off exploring! Many thanks to all the Living Advent Calendar volunteers who have created such special displays! Rowena the Wonderful

Rowena the Wonderful, an exhibition by Rowena Polack is on until 16 th November. Rowena is 22 and lives in Birmingham with her mum. She has an extremely rare genetic disorder which means she is non-verbal and has significant learning difficulties. She communicates via a few sounds, Makaton signs and PECS symbols. Rowena has a great personality – she loves a joke and being around lots of different people. She also loves doing different art and craft activities and her exhibition is a result of those sessions. It’s been an absolute delight to support Rowena to access mosaics, Gelli plate printmaking, and cyanotype prints. Art and creativity are for everyone, and it’s certainly brought so much joy and excitement to Rowena to have her own exhibition. We're already planning the next!
