This month's amazing artwork came to life during September’s Craft Club held in Ashton Keynes Village Hall. While others focused on knitting, crocheting, and sewing, ten of us collaborated on this piece. With bunches of flowers from Page Green Flowers in Cricklade placed in the centre of the table, we worked through various drawing exercises, moving around so no one claimed ownership of a single section. Once the sheet was filled with drawings, we paused for tea or coffee—and some Rocky Road—before removing the flowers and adding colour with watercolours, using different brush sizes, and with oil pastels too. We moved around the table again and let the finished creation dry in the sun.
We had a great time creating this, enjoying both the social nature of the activity and the mindful experience too. This is a wonderful activity to enjoy with friends, where each person takes home a piece of the artwork to frame afterwards. For more details, contact me: kathryngray28@yahoo.co.uk.
