The Big Draw Festival event in Ashton Keynes on Saturday 21st October was a great success with both workshops fully booked. There was even a family who came over from near Reading for it! Everyone designed stencils and made layered coloured prints using Gelli Plates, a gel printing plate that is used for making monoprints. Some prints were taken home, others are now on display in the Telephone Gallery.
When I was putting it up last night, someone crossed over the road to see what I was doing and exclaimed, "Wow! They look amazing!". And she is absolutely right! They are displayed on imitation greaseproof paper with fairy lights behind so that they look great during the daytime and even more magical at night with the lights shining through. Well done to everyone who came and made such lovely artwork!
