Ashton Keynes Christmas Tree Festival

The new display in the Telephone Gallery celebrated the first ever Ashton Keynes Christmas Tree Festival. My original plan was to have a tree at the Festival, but I thought it would be fun to have a tree in the Telephone Gallery.

If you don’t know anything about the Christmas Tree Festival, here’s all the information:

There'll be 30 beautifully decorated trees each sponsored by local businesses or organisations/group in Holy Cross Church in Ashton Keynes over the first weekend of December. The Christmas Tree Festival kicks off with a special ticketed "Sparkling Soiree" with music from the Siren Sisters and the Blue Notes and the chance to be the first to see the trees. Enjoy a complimentary a glass of something sparking and some nibbles and try your luck on the raffle on Friday 1st December from 7pm to 9pm. Tickets are £10 from Ashton Keynes Village Shop.

On Saturday and Sunday afternoon, there'll be festive stalls, a raffle, a tombola, refreshments, a silent auction and on Saturday from 4 till 6 there is "Festive Family Fun" with activities for children, festive stalls, mulled wine, hot chocolate, snow - yes, snow! -and Father Christmas, of course. Tickets on Saturday and Sunday are £5 for a couple, £3 for an adult, children free.  The final event is the "Festive Awards Celebration" with carols led by clergy and find out which trees won an award(Sunday 4.30pm).
